Stannary Brass Band was formed in 1995 and is based in Tavistock, Devon.
It's objective is "to maintain, improve and advance the education of the public through the promotion and practice of brass band music".

Stannary Brass Band is a member of the South West Brass Band Association. It has chosen to be a non-contesting band. The band enjoys taking part in local events throughout the year and provides opportunities for young people to learn to play an instrument and perform in public.
Instruments are available for anyone of any age who would like to learn to play.
Experienced players are always welcome.
Stannary Brass Band is now a registered charity, no. 1091307.

Sam Fisher
Former solo cornet player for Stannary Brass Band, Sam Fisher, now works as Head of Music at King's School, Pontefract. Sam studied music at Sheffield University and has played with well-known bands such as Brighouse and Rastrick, Grimethorpe Colliery Band and the Carlton Main. ....
